Last Day in Thailand

Today (Monday) is our last full day in Thailand.  Our flight leaves BKK at 06:50, so it will be an early (04:00) departure from the hotel. As you can see from the students' postings to date, every day has been filled with professional, cultural and social activities.  I don't want to steal their thunder, so I'll just give a brief overview. Professionally, we visited Ruen Ya Drug Store which has one of the most innovative community pharmacy practices in Thailand. The students had the opportunity to go on some home visits with their Thai student colleagues.

We also visited Chulalongkorn University, at which our students and the CU students gave presentations about their school lives.

Last Friday was our last "work" day.  Over the weekend we went to one of the night markets on Friday night, the ancient Thai capital Ayutthaya on Saturday,  and the beach and ladyboy shows in Pattaya on Sunday.

Our group continues to be very adventurous about food, and I'm sure the students will be posting lotw more food stories and photos.

Of course the best part of a trip like this is the people.  We have met many people professionally, and our hosts have been very gracious.  More about them after we get home.  I'll also talk more about the 8 students, Supranee, Farah, Daniel, Rick, Mai, Mika, Chris and Ashley, who joined the trip, but rest assured that have represented our universities, profession and countries well. I'm proud of them.
